I started playing netball at the age of 11. I have moved all around the court, playing different positions and I continue to do that til this day, but if I had to pick a favourite it would be WA. My mother introduced me to netball and ever since then, I haven't been able to get enough of it! I like netball because it involves fitness, skills and teamwork which is something I really enjoy. As soon as I started playing netball, I had a hunger to continue to build on my skills and get better and better at my sport.
Tiana's Netball Achievements:
Over the past three years, I have made several representitive teams and have won many awards. Representitive teams in which I have made are:
Auckland Representitives: Year 7 (Team Two) and Year 8 (Team One).
Auckland Samoa Team: U11's (Team Four), U13's (Team Two) and U13's (Team One).
New Zealand U14 Girls Team.
New Zealand Secondary School's Pacific Rim Squad.
School Teams in which I have made are:
STCC Year Seven Team One.
STCC Year Eight Team One.
STCC Premier Team.
Awards in which I have been awarded are:
Auckland Representitives: Captaincy (Year Seven and Year Eight).
Auckland Samoa: Most Promising (U11-Team Four and U13-Team Two).
STCC Year Seven Team One: MVP.
STCC Year Eight Team One: MVP & Overall Intermediate Prize.
Tiana's End Goal:
My overall end goal is to make the Silver Ferns Team and represent New Zealand. This is a goal in which involves a lot of hard work and dedication so in order to achieve this, I will need to stay committed and willing to work hard in every team I make and to also look after my body.
